What the Storm Means : the long wait is over.

The prologue to The Gathering Storm is now available since this morning.

Sorry for the silence today, Linda and myself are both reading, re reading and re re reading What the Storm Means. In the next few days, you can expect our first impressions, our post on the prologue predictions contest, and through next week we'll start posting our our scene-by-scene commentary.

We're hoping you're enjoying the prologue as much as we do, and we're definitely looking forward to your comments on the prologue through next week (we're gonna give the week-end to everyone before we get into the big spoiler stuff). Very soon, we're gonna install a few new features to the Blog to make exchanges and discussion of the prologue a bit more fun. More on this early next week.

You've not read the prologue yet or have problem finding it? Here's some help from the good folks at Tor Books:

In the prologue, titled 'What The Storm Means,' Rand al’Thor, the Dragon Reborn, struggles to unite a fractured network of kingdoms and alliances in preparation for the Last Battle. As he attempts to halt the Seanchan encroachment northward—wishing he could form at least a temporary truce with the invaders—his allies watch in terror the shadow that seems to be growing within the heart of the Dragon Reborn himself.

‘What the Storm Means’ is available for $2.99 as either an ebook or an audio download. You can buy the ebook from a wide range of online retailers, and it is compatible with nearly all e-reading devices, including the Sony Reader and the Kindle. The complete list of retailers can be found here.

N.B.: Some of these retailers are limited to selling to US residents only, but take a look at Tor's list of retailers on Tor.com, you'll find some among them taking international orders.
